Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Campus Delegate program?

The Campus Delegate program is a structured, year-long opportunity for university students to act as official on-campus representatives for Nirmol Bangladesh. It is a "youth-led" initiative designed to empower students to drive real-world change. The core mission is to promote environmental and coastal sustainability, social awareness, and community development.

What are the key responsibilities?

This is a hands-on role that goes beyond typical volunteering. Your duties will include:

  • Event Management: Planning and executing campus events, from national day celebrations to environmental rallies and tree plantation drives.
  • Advocacy & Content Creation: Designing awareness campaigns, writing engaging blogs for our website, and creating photo/video content.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Arranging bi-annual policy discussions with faculty and local leaders, and conducting mandatory monthly meetings.
  • Formal Reporting: Submitting three detailed reports on your activities and impact throughout the year.

What is the time commitment and duration?

The program requires a significant and consistent commitment. The official duration is for a full fiscal year, from August 2025 to July 2026 (12 months). You should expect to dedicate approximately 10-15 hours per week to your delegate responsibilities. While this is designed to be flexible around your academic schedule, the organization is specifically looking for students who can manage their time effectively.

How and where will I work?

The work modality is a blend of on-ground and virtual activities. Most of your work, such as organizing events and engaging with the community, will take place on your university campus and in nearby communities. This will be supplemented with virtual coordination with the central Nirmol Bangladesh team.

Is this a paid position?

No, this is a volunteer, non-contractual role. There is no financial compensation. The program's value is in the extensive professional and personal development opportunities it provides.

What are the benefits of joining?

The program is designed to be a valuable addition to your CV and a launchpad for your career. Tangible benefits include:

  • Professional Development: Gain verifiable skills in leadership, communication, marketing, and event management.
  • Career Assets: Receive an official Certificate of Completion and a formal Experience Letter upon successful completion of your term.
  • Networking: Build a professional network with activists, NGOs, and key stakeholders in the social impact sector.
  • Exclusive Access: Participate in skill development workshops, seminars, and training sessions organized by Nirmol Bangladesh.
  • Future Opportunities: Get the chance to work on other projects within the organization and receive potential mentorship for a career in the non-profit sector.

What does the selection process involve?

The selection process is formal and structured in three steps:

  1. Profile Review: First, we will carefully review your submitted application (CV, cover letter, and optional portfolio).
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview, which may be conducted virtually or in-person.
  3. Final Confirmation: If you are successful in the interview, you will receive an official confirmation email welcoming you as a Campus Delegate.

What is the timeline for selection?

The process moves very quickly after the application deadline.

  • Shortlisting & Interview Invitations: By August 10, 2025
